Example of the patient with disc protrusion
P.Z., 41 years; disc protrusion (L5-S1), right lateral. Patient came into the centre with the recommendations from a friend, in preoperative condition, after years of pain in lumbar spine. Because of this listed, the patient wasn't able to sit longer then 20 minutes without the appearance of the pain, after which getting up was followed by strong pain in the right leg all the way to the foot. Stiffness and pain was always present when getting up from the bed in the morning.
After functional assessment we suggested to the patient an individual therapy program in combination with medical training. The results of this program soon showed good results. The pain was eliminated and because of the better physical condition patient decided not to have the surgery. A patient continued with organized training program to maintain his condition.
